Why Use Addons?
Addons are an essential part of playing WoW efficiently. They enhance the default UI, provide better visibility of key information, and automate certain tasks. Whether you’re a casual player, raider, or PvPer, having the right addons can make a huge difference.
Essential Addons I Use
Here are some of the best addons I personally use and recommend:
1. Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) / BigWigs
📌 Category: Raid & Dungeon Alerts
These addons provide essential warnings and timers for boss fights. If you raid or run dungeons, having either DBM or BigWigs is a must. They help you anticipate mechanics, dodge deadly abilities, and improve overall raid awareness.
2. Details! Damage Meter
📌 Category: Combat Analysis
Want to know how much damage or healing you’re doing? Details! is a powerful and lightweight addon that tracks your performance in real-time. It’s great for improving your rotations and analyzing raid encounters.
3. WeakAuras 2
📌 Category: UI Customization & Alerts
One of the most powerful addons in WoW, WeakAuras 2 lets you create visual and audio alerts for any in-game event. You can track buffs, debuffs, cooldowns, and much more. It’s highly customizable and used by top players in every aspect of the game.
4. ElvUI
📌 Category: UI Overhaul
If you want a complete revamp of WoW’s default interface, ElvUI is the way to go. It provides a sleek, modern look while also offering tons of customization options for action bars, unit frames, and more.
5. GTFO

A simple but effective addon that warns you when you’re standing in something dangerous. If you tend to miss ground effects, GTFO will literally yell at you to move!
6. Auctionator
📌 Category: Auction House & Economy
This addon simplifies the Auction House experience by making it easier to post, search, and track prices. Whether you’re a casual buyer or a gold-making expert, Auctionator helps you manage your in-game finances more efficiently.

📌 Category: Inventory Management
Tired of searching through multiple bags? Bagnon merges all your bags into a single, easy-to-navigate window, making inventory management much smoother.
8. HandyNotes & TomTom
📌 Category: Navigation & Exploration
HandyNotes adds useful icons to your map for treasures, rares, and important locations, while TomTom gives you waypoint arrows for easier navigation.
9. Leatrix Plus

For Mythic+ players, Mythic Dungeon Tools allows you to plan out optimal routes, track enemy forces, and create strategies before even stepping into a dungeon.
