This is Part 3 of a series of articles looking at the gang mechanics of Mean Streets of Gadgetzan. This series intends to highlight some of the cards that use and synergise with the key mechanics of each gang. This is meant to be a fun, insightful and inspiring starting point for people wanting to build decks around the themes and mechanics introduced in MSoG. For the most part, these articles will stick to cards introduced in this expansion but some other Standard cards have been included when appropriate. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list so if you think of or Discover (See what I did there?) other cards that you think work well, share them with others in the comments section below. Greetings disciple, welcome to The Jade Lotus. Surely, you must have recognized the great power we wield in the form of the Jadegolem. Our "family" have been secretly gathering forces and jade from across Gadgetzan and further afield. Meanwhile, the foolish denizens of this crux of corruption have no idea what is about to be unleashed upon them. Our leader, Aya Blackpaw, has made it possible for us to create and control these constructs. The Jade Spirit is a mighty entity who is sympathetic to our cause. We have also ensured that you always know just how big the next Jadegolem will be. We thrive on the element of surprise and the ability to disappear back into the shadows. Therefore, those who can take full advantage of our Battlecry and Deathrattle effects are of greatest use to us.
As masters of stealth and surprise, Rogues are among our most powerful allies. That is why we fashion Jade Shuriken for them to use and offer them the services of our Jade Swarmers. Along with Brewmasters and Shadowsteps, the Gadgetzan Ferryman can allow Rogues to repeat Battlecry effects to summon ever greater Jadegolems. In addition, Unearthed Raptors can ensure that even more Jadegolems arrive as friendly Deathrattles sound. Shadowcasters, with their ability to replicate both effects, could help swell the ranks of our armies.
Ah! Our esteemed friends, the Druids. Patience, resilience, tenacity; these are qualities that we both hold in high esteem. Our Jade Blossoms, will allow these allies to ramp things up whilst bolstering our forces. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to make the Jade Blossom give you Excess Mana if played with 10 mana crystals. The Jade Behemoth and his entourage will keep our foes occupied while our plans fall into place. The Jade Idol, one of our greatest tokens, will allow Druids to outlast any opponent. These heroes have access to Raven Idols, which could allow them to Discover even more jade artifacts. In addition, Fandral Staghelm will allow Jadegolems to be summoned whilst also shuffling in future reinforcements.
Fortunate we are, to have such powerful heroes among us. That is why we have provided them with some of our strongest artifacts, most potent spells and mightiest minions. We feel that with our aid, the Shamasal can reach even greater heights. A Shaman can utilize our Jadegolems using Evolve, Master of Evolution to turn them into stronger minions. The new ability we are giving Shamans, Finders Keepers, will allow you to look for more Jade Claws. Finally, perhaps cards like Ancestral Spirit will allow you to re-summon a more powerful Jadegolem. So, disciple, we hope that by studying the different ways that these Heroes utilize the power of the Jadegolem you will find a way to support The Jade Lotus with ingenuity and honor.
